How to use e-bike charging?

Note: This is an option available exclusively on the Steora Cyclo smart bench.

E-bike charing on Steora Cyclo smart bench works as an AC socket for charging e-bikes and other micromobility vehicles. Depending on Steora’s location, AC socket type and voltage are adjusted according to local regulations.

To use e-bike charing, make sure that the NFC option on your device is available and turned on. Due to  Android/iOS security settings, the device usually needs to be unlocked for NFC to be available. Tap your device on the NFC symbol located at the side (on the leg) of the bench. The toolbox doors will automatically open without the need to move them by hand.

AC socket is located at the very centre of the toolholder. Plugg your original e-bike charger into the AC socket and your e-bike. Charging will start automatically and you should see a battery charging icon on the LED display, followed by the current charging power info. Once you are done with charging simply unplug your e-bike charger and tap your device onto the NFC symbol to close the toolbox doors. In case you forget to close toolbox doors they will close automatically after 1 minute without any action. If the toolbox doors are not closing, it may be that one of the tools is not retracted properly in its holder. The  LED screen will display the icon of the tool that is not retracted.

If your e-bike is not charging after plugging into the AC socket it may be that the battery is already full or that your charger is using more than 150W of power which is the limit for the e-bike charging option. When the battery charging icon is flashing as empty after plugging the e-bike this signals that the bench’s battery is empty. If toolbox doors are not opening after tapping your device to the NFC symbol it may be that you are not positioning the NFC antenna properly or that the bench’s battery is empty. To check the bench’s battery status find the battery indicator located next to the wireless charger (on the central seating beam). If two or fewer dots are lightning on the indicator the battery is on stand-by and some features may not be available.
